The Northern Walking Stick or Diapheromera femorata are native to North America. Walking Sticks are commonly found around the world, mostly in tropical regions. This species can be found through most of eastern North America, in southern Ontario and Québec. Their colors range from green to brown. They grow to about three or four inches long and feed on plants.
I have never seen one in the wild before this one that was found on my back yard deck Gazebo.
